inner tie rod end?

Postby kenkeo » Wed Jul 16, 2008 6:18 pm

hey lads got the car nct'd yesterday and failed on a worn front inner tie rod end. the tester said it is connected to the bolt for tracking. Was wondering what parts i need to be changing to sort this out not sure if its track rod ends or drop links to be fixing. nice one.
FTO.Does exactly what it says on the tin.

Sounds like the steering rack end.
I had the same problem a while ago, check here, but read all the way down.

There's two links there, http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m3b0s583p671 and http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m3b0s583p371, I'd say you're as well off changing both.
They're not too expensive.

I'm not sure if there are differences between the models but those parts will fit a GPX anyway.

Changed one of these myself, wasn't the easiest thing! Access is bad had to use a large adjustible wrench well worth doing and are a common replacement!
