there is someone who parks on the road directly outside the apartments. They drive an old colt. On several occasions in the past week or two (including this morning) they start their car and then hold the revs FULL on for 10 seconds ROOOOOOOOOOOOAARRRR and off, and repeat ROOOOOOAAAAARRR, and repeat, and repeat, for about 20 minutes. (no exaggeration). This is at 7am. I was so pissed off today I was going to go down and then I remembered thats how people get stabbed in Ireland today (plus I was too tired). but seriously, they are parked not 15metres from 20 apartment bedrooms, what sort of a moron do you need to do to not consider people are asleep at 7am. kids going to school at 9, babies, night workers, etc etc. If it happens again I'll go down and confront them, I know it, my blood was boiling. If they need to do that to their car each morning they should park outside the apartment area on a main road, not in front of bedrooms. Even with the double glazing it wakes you obviously.

Exactly just play with them, it`s so much fun to do those tricks to people like them.
I recommend banana for thinner pipes if this doesn`t help try to write a message and stick it to the window...

You never know who they are and some people might try to take revenge on you so it`s safer for you and your car to write a message.

To be honest it's probably just lack of consideration. If they new they were pissing people off they might just stop. Most people aren't actually assholes!!

thanks all. thats 3 sensible posts there. they may not be assholes, just totally ignorant to the fact people are sleeping at 7am, its possible for sure. I was also recommended the potato approach by a guy in work, and someone else also said, just leave a note on the window "kids asleep, quiet please" etc. Apparently the worst thing to do is for me to wade down there in a pair of tracksuit bottoms and a vest and ROAR at them. not a good idea. lol

cops will do feck all as usual,even if you have a record such as recording them as evidence might help . But the law would be the way to go.

I'd try a note 1st and see if that sorts it out, as pointed out the cold weather was probably the reason for it so it may stop now the weather has improved.. As your in apartments is there a management company? If so you could try them if the note doesn't work. Then finally the guards if it still persists. I'd avoid having words yourself as some people could get nasty and cause you or your car some damage if confronted.
Alternatively you could park beside them, get up and be in your car at the same time as them and just make a joke of it if they do it. Saying something like "jesus you could wake the whole neighbourhood doing that" in a friendly tone. It wont sound like your giving out but it might be enough to make him realise it is annoyng his neighbours.

yeah the management company don't give a shiznitch about ANYTHING that happens outside the Apartment building itself, or the underground car park.
They are parked on the road outside the apartments so management company don't care. Has not happened since, so we'll see. I'll go with polite note as first option.
