NCT'd for a year and 3 months now... I failed on wishbone bushes in Jan, retested and passed in Feb and passed again now, so I'm good for a while at least.
Now to get that cat out 8)

Is there any real difference in power with a decat? I just noticed a sound difference, that's all. But maybe I was just glad to have a cat put on, so it could pass the nct.

Other Stuff: Induction kit. Front Strut. Apex Lowered. 17" Kahns. Quad exhaust. HID lights. Glow dials and rings/cups. Black leather seats. Window tints. Sunroof.

A decat supposedly allows exhaust gases to flow unrestricted from the exhaust whereas a cat would restrict it to some degree.
I'd say you might get 1-5+ BHP, so it would probably be unnoticeable. This will all depend on your CAI, induction kit/filter, manifold and exhaust system I guess.

Forget power. I use a decat as it imprives my fuel economy in tests ive done. At 1.65 a litre im all about getting 600km per fill.

Yep - In my experience decat FTOs tend to give higher figures on the rolling road. I reckon the OE cat is rather restrictive - combined with a CAI induction and a freer flowing decatted exhaust - you should see a small bhp increase (5 bhp approx) - and def better mpg. Sounds a lot better to my ears as well.
