You don't mention what mileage you have up but presuming its circa 80K miles I would say a price of 7.5K would be about right.

Why would you change though? It'd cost a hell of a lot more dosh to get a better sports car.

that is way way overpriced for what it is, so i wouldn't go by that, plus it's a garage too!!

i sold my old GS for 7.5K, but i had a massive spec list to it... but that was last November!

I'd say you'd be doing well to get 8-8.5K in todays' market.

That dealers living in dreamland if he expects to sell that car for anything like that money.

You could price your FTO at circa 8K but you'll be into facelifted 97 GPvR's with lower mileage at that money - http://www.carzone.ie/usedcars/index.cf ... rID=731961

I bought a 350Z which sat beside the FTO for a few months and it still hurt to see the FTO scream out the gate and out of my life! :smt089
Still habour a dream to buy it back some day for use as a weekend/track car. Sports cars and even hot hatches these days have all got far too overweight - laden down with 8-10 airbags, tons of safety gear like ABS and EBD and TC, extra stengthening in the doors and chassis to meet stringent Euro regulations and pedestrian safety (Phah!), and a lazy ar$e way of getting bhp (all the turbos in recent hot hatches).

When you take a look at manufactures and car magazines figures (0-60,0-100, 1/4 mile etc)for even the quickest hot hatches these days (Astra OPC/Golf GTI/Civic Type R/Leon Cupra R/Megane F1) they are still slower than times I officially set in my FTO. They're all circa 200 kgs heavier than the weight I had my GPX at (According to NCT 1160kgs with half a tank of fuel plus spacesaver and tools). Even much more expensive sports cars like a 238bhp RX8 will struggle to get a 6.5 sec 0-60 or a 15 sec 1/4 mile time.

If my 350Z can beat my FTO's 14.79sec 1/4 mile time this year I'll actually be happy - my GPX Manual was a rocket. Wouldn't have sold it only with the kind of mileage I do it made sense to have a bit more comfort.

What I'd give to have one more blast in my gone but not forgotten FTO.

There is only ONE bright point of not owning one anymore.
I can now drive past a cop car without them straining their necks to find the smallest excuse to pull me over.
