Semi Auto Gear box

What are these like to drive with are they much slower than manuals. It would be a 1995 car so im guessing its a 4 speed

They are slightly slower as all Auto are, but it does the job well enough for me. If it's a 95 it will be 4 speed box.
Lots to think about, nothing to worry about!

What is the triptronic gear change can u still rev it to the red line ok. I read somewhere that its best to drive in triptronic as such as possible is that true

you can hop it off the limiter no problem! it's better to use tiptronic because the auto box is inclined to change up to 4 when possible. I prefer the control of using tiptronic.

Always drive in Tip mode mate (especially if you have a heavy right foot) i remember when i bought my first FTO it was a Tip gpx and on my first day i had it in auto, i was on some back roads and was going round a bend when i put the power down and right there in mid bend the auto box dropped two gears and i lost control for a moment ending up facing the wrong way coming out of the bend luckly no other car on the road. after that never drove it in auto again. too unpredictable in full auto mode, either that or my driving style :D
