is 100,000 miles too much for a second hand fto?

im buying a second hand fto and im wondering is 100,000 miles too much for one and how long will they last roughly?

it all depends on how it was driven and maintained.

let's not forget its a 14 year old car (a 94 one)
average 10k miles / year

so i dont think its bad

But as CJ was saying once .. they last FOREVER :) if they are well mentained
no1. manual GR 96 l no2. tip GR 95 l no3. manual Gpx 95 l no.4 manual Gpx 95 l no.5 manual Gpx 96 l no.6 tip GR 95 - in 2011 took a break from the FTO scene

Agreed, if the engine has been well maintained, I wouldn't be too worried. Theres plenty of healthy FTOs on the road with that kind of mileage on the clock....

I can vouch for that, mine had 100K on the clock when I bought it.
Just check the service history before you buy.

I sold mine with 100K on the clock - would be very surprised if there was any probs before 160K due to the amount of maintenance done while I owned it.

Man if you think 100k is big you never would have bought my black fto i did 35k a year for 5 years in that so thats 175k without what was on it when i bought it. :D

I have 222222k (138k miles) on mine and Prof Nolan thinks that it is in fine condition.
I have put a lot of mileage on it and the previous owner/importer drove it like a maniac between Dublin and Sligo so I reckon that they're fine for high mileage if you take a bit of care with it and make sure it is serviced regularly.

i just bought one myself with 104k on the clock. absolutely no problems but again id say be careful who you buy it from. i paid about 1000 more for mine than another one i was looking at purely because i could tell the previous owner was treating it well.
