Dress plates

Postby colm_mcm » Tue Sep 11, 2007 9:07 am

I have some oblong (no square available yet!) dress plates available for the Limerick show. These are in black & white with FTO-ireland logo, and can include your site user name if desired.

These would be cool for the site battle entrants in particular and would also look well at the FTO Club stand.

You can always stick it on the bedroom/office wall after.

I'll take one.

I'll take one - any chance of one for the rear - in the square import-plate measures?

Finding it hard to get jap plates without the IRL bit.
I'd need to get definates from people intrested in them before ordering the blanks, as without the IRL logo they're pretty much useless for anything else other than dress plates

I'd be interested myself... sure if you can't get square rear ones without the IRL bit it would be better than trying to put the same as the front on.

A list seems like a plan... adding everyone who expressed an interest so far...

1. kevinod - front & square rear
2. gabico - square if available
3. myfeckin fto - front & rear
4.

Well someone has to fight the FTO Ireland corner in the site battle so it'd be nice if the team had the same plates even if I have a 350Z kit on my FTO.

I'm actually going to miss my Manual Mivec FTO for the 1/4 mile this year. That car was mental when stripped out with the suspension and breathing upgrades - had a real raw touring car feel - and a 14.79sec time won't even be particularly easy to beat in the Zed.

If anybody asks you could always call it a GPZ ;-)

Had you a lightened flywheel in there feckin'?

I've found a few parts on Camskill that might help the Zed, here, here, and here.

Nope - did have a new camskill clutch though.
I reckon that the Zed has a lot more to gain from a lightened flywheel than the FTO. I'll be looking into this when the time comes to change the clutch.

The sleek FX childers rd shop make up plates while u wait i got a set there AGES ago and he started with a black clear plastic square and then put the IRL on it and background. might be worth givin them a buzz for those of u that want them square.

Got sorted, ordered them today! forgot to ask how much they are, should be covered by €7.50 anyway.

Thanks for the help though.

Both shapes are available now!

oblong or square will fit the front of all FTO's.

FTO's will take square for the rear,

note: these aren't those square ones that are fitted to jeeps. they're wider and shorter than those.
