Was stop at our local shop today and a man and a woman came up to me and start asking about my car and how much would it cost to get a full respary on there 1 told them around 2500 to 3000 as she also wanted it in Pink also she want to buy body kit for it also her is a celica when she heard this, she then asked me would I be willing to sell Mine as i had not been think of this I told her I need time to think of how much and talk to John on it, Now guy's how much do ye think it's would get I was thinking 6500 to 7 but then is this too much but then again she might be the right buyer on the other hand john does not really want to part with it after all the work we put into it Oh what to do She took my number and said she would give me a ring what ye guy's think. Maybe should be in the for sale part of the site but it's not really for sale

I suppose it comes down to whether you'd replace the car with something similar.

€7k gets you a lot of car these days. you're talking Audi TT, Mini Cooper, Peugeot 206cc, all much more modern cars than the FTO. I'd be surprised if you got over €4,500.

That said, the target buyer won't see that an average 95 tiptronic GS is worth €1k, they'll see pink paint
I can't see the car making €7k though.
It comes down to what the car is worth to you, and whether you fancy a change.

If someone falls in love with the car, it's arguable that they'd pay silly money for it.
I think €5,500 is still massive money compared to what you can buy GP Version R's and GPX's for these days.
Everyones car has taken a hit in value

It's hard to know what to do here as i was thinking of keeping this car and not selling her on at all as in a few year the young one will be driving and this would be a nice car to pass on to her, Just wait and see maybe they will not even ring anyway

It will break your heart to sell it - but if you sell at say 5,5k you could always get yourself a gpx..I know John already has one..but..

Personally I wouldn't sell after all the work you've done to it. Prob regret it later. Least I know I would.
