hand brake light on dash!!!

Postby msmorrissey » Fri Oct 24, 2003 5:33 pm

My hand brake light on the dash is staying lit up when I release the hand brake, anyone know why this is happening? Handbrake seems fine, could it be a stuck relay? Anyone got a solution on how to fix this?

Stephen, the most likely cause is worn brake pads, take a look and see how much material is left on them. Check the brake fluid levels and also unscrew the reservoir lid and replace, the fluid level sensor can stick and this process can release it if I remeber correctly. Also, try using the hardbrake a dozen times in a row and see if there is any change.
