new style car club what ye think?

Is the new site returning to "Old School" ways.
For example details being sent via Mobile phone,
and the members actually knowing one another.

Out Aim,
To try and bring back the Tuning Scene and provide some entertainmemt for our members.
To bring groups of enthusiasts from around the country together.

How does this differ from 0-60 performance?

first off im not the owner of this site but have agreed to help...
0-60 was an online car club with meets,


this club is to work with local reps getting groups of enthusiasts who want to have a hand in the scene,

over the locals would be a regional rep bringing the towns together to have a bigger meet and events for people in the areas.

Would be easier to get more events and possably discounts for members for tuning sessions and more...

it would have a website probably but it woudl be somewhere to chat between meets which would be a regular thing.

This site is in the pipelines and were trying to arrange reps before we start spreadding hte word of the club

Is it a club for people who modify cars, for people who are into drifting, for racers, what is it?

All I'm saying is I like the setup we have.
A web forum for general queries and advice with a bit of craic thrown in & four or five meets a year.

RSD seems a bit corporate to me...

suppose youve got a point! but then again owners clubs and general intrest clubs are rather different!

To be honest, I wouldn't see the appeal of such a general club. everything from Corsas with bodykits to Twincams. If the only common ground is having a drivers license.
I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who feel different though.

What alternatives to driving around town at night do you reckon the site would offer to members? Are you aiming for the younger drivers?

no im aiming to leave the twats in the 1.1's who are schumacker to themself but and give real enthusiasts things to do

Surely a new site that has absolutely no restrictions on the types of people that join or the sort of car these people drive yet wants to exclude certain types of drivers will have trouble progressing?

The "twats" in the 1.1 kitted cars mostly progress on to more powerful cars as they get older. Anywhere there's modified cars, I reckon you'll have a number of wannabe Schumachers, regardless of whether it's Corsas or Sylvias involved.
