I'll suggest December the 10th (Sat.) if that suits everyone. I assume we're talking about Kiltiernan dry ski slope in the Dublin mountains, Shane, you might look into availability, prices etc....

Ahh... the scene of my snowboarding debacle! Its a beautiful spot, but absolutely f*** all else to do if your snow sports don't work out.

Tbh after that trip I would only recommend someone goes to somewhere like Grenoble or some city near the alps, so if you get fed up with it or hurt yourself or whatever there's something else to do.

We get all ages up the club for lessons - young and old. Ok, the kids tend to bounce better than the adults but the beginner slope is pretty gentle so you'd be starting slow and easy.....

I'll need to get an idea of how many have skied before (if any) - no point in sticking someone in a beginner class if they've already skied a bit

Saturday is usually a pretty quiet day up at the club so there should be no problem getting a class and if the worst comes to the worst I can always teach the class.....

Won't be long before you're all ripping a slalom....

But them sometimes a helmet may be advisable...

And then it'll be off to the real thing!

Yea, it was taken by the Croatian team photographer at the 2003 worlds. Oh to be good enough to get on a team that has it's own photographer

I'd love to go - but as our shifts are being reviewed at the mo I haven't a clue if I'll be working or not on the 10th.

Oh the Joys of shift work. :-(

Its not Steelroe by any chance - is it?

I have been having some problems with my knees - played a rugby match last Sunday and I'll be spending an amount of time with the Physio this week. I'll also be going to Australia about 10days after the meet as well as moving into a new house in early December so I'm gonna have to play this one by ear - If I can't ski but I have the day free then I'll go along for the craic anyway. I'll know more closer to the date hence I haven't stuck my name (+ FTO widow) down yet.
