Vac & oil temp gauge

Postby Bernard » Tue Nov 06, 2007 12:21 am

I have white glow dials fitted but of course couldn't find anyone making them for the vac and oil temp gauges.
I emailed theseguys on the off chance and got the following reply...

We are sorry we only have the clock/voltmeter set as shown we will look into possible production for the other vac. and oil temp. gauges as we have had a number of enquiries.

Nothing to hold your breath about but at least there's a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel...

you've no hope of swapping the dial faces to start with, the outer casings are one piece from front to back with the metal cylinder bent over the front lenses.

had wanted to change mine to match the rest of the dials in the car, but short of attacking the meters with a hacksaw, you don't have many options.

you could always relocate those meters and get a standard clock and volt meter with white dials for the dash top.

Far too much work I'm afraid...
Getting my radio working is the next thing on my list.
