Its not possible to get the standard ECU remapped, you have to get something likes a Mines ROM that will set up back over a grand, its unlikely it will net 20bhp though. I had a Racelogic VSAM on the GPX, its a piggy back unit, on the rollers the power was actually down with the thing in place. Remappable ECUs are only worth getting if you've a turbocharged car, theres very little gains to be had on an NA engine.

I had my gti done by logica - works really well on turbo'd cars but waste of money for an n/a car! I saw a 47bhp increase from the remap

Was your gti a turbo car.If it's not €400 for 40bhp is still good to me.

Mine's a mk4 - with the VAG 1.8 20v turbo engine. And AFAIK if I'd gone with a REVO remap I would have seen 210bhp - so that'd be 50bhp for 600 euro.

But when I get my dirty mitts on a 225 TT I should see 280 from a REVO remap.... turbo cars are soooooo easy to tune
