Facelift Foglight Retro fit

Postby GarLaf » Wed Nov 14, 2007 9:50 pm

My GR came without foglights. I managed to get a set of second hand originals and a switch. I fit everything and connected up but I cant get them to work. The wiring diagram says that they are wired directly to the switch but there is no 12v were there should be. Has anyone ever had this problem? Maybe its just a connector not hooked up somewhere. I hope to do some further wiring checks when I get better weather.

At the back of the switch where the plastic connector housing is white was this burned in any way, common problem with the fto is that the switch burns out before a fuse goes, sign ofsomeone with them on all the time.

Just realised it might not be 100% clear,.... usually the conections in the block overheat and break but continue to work for awhile arcing the gap till it gets to big hence the burned connector block.
