Replacement exhaust advice

Postby Mustang » Mon Apr 02, 2007 1:30 pm

My exhaust is nearly exhausted! Am looking at aftermarket options and would appreciate some input.
Firstly I am NOT into loud exhausts. Not interested in waking up the neighbours and setting off car alarms as I crawl past at 1500rpm so no wide bore exhausts or quad/ dual exit style. This also rules out anything by Wavin. Just looking for the OEM look with two pipes sticking out where Mitsi intended them to be. Do not plan a cat bypass either.
From camskill the main options appear to be as follows:

Milltek (£419)
http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m3b0s11p320

Blue Flame twin Oval (£325)
http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m3b0s11p460

Camskill twin round (£299)
http://www.camskill.co.uk/products.php?plid=m3b0s11p150

All look good, the camskill one perhaps looks the least special, it is also the least expensive and still an improvement over the stock unit.

I also like the look of the mongoose twin oval/round. Looks like camskill no longer do it + > £500 from demon tweeks.

Any experience, advice, rumours on these systems would be welcome....

I have the camskill twin round and it's great - it is very quiet ( I know that some would count that as a minus) was easy to fit and was the cheapest. If you're not looking to make a statement it is the one for you.

The ends on the pipes are polishes stainless steel so they're not as shiny as the chrome on the stock exhaust but it doesn't bother me.
