Postby adrian » Mon Sep 19, 2005 5:40 pm

Hi all,

Is there anywhere in the capital that sells 97 ot 98 RON petrol? Do any of your use octane booster as a result. I think I am getting some pinking from the S2000 at the moment.

I have been putting in a can of Silkolene Pro Boost with every fill - adds 3 Octane - the best Octane Boost you can buy IMO and the only one I have noticed a difference in performance with.

I have a couple of cans of toluene as well but I've been slow to use untill I can find a recommended dosage. This stuff is supposed to be like rocket fuel - NOT available at your local supermarket!

He's on holidays at the moment but he has a good source in the chemical industry and can get this in great amounts and smaller amounts.

Add your name to the list to gauge interest and I will get the details...

Have been told that Toluene can be a very dangerous substance undiluted. It can be absorbed through the skin on touch, breathed through the air. Essentially the effects are the same as sniffing glue in large quantities. It's also very dangerous for women in particular......
Knowldegable colleague here who used to work for Shell and BP!
Handle with care!

Also, supposedly overuse might damage spark plugs and injectors.

It's probably just a case of getting the right percentage mix. Usually bout 4 per cent I'm told in Petrol, up that to 15 max maybe?

Will be very interested to see results!
