rattles and knocks

hey i got a gpx and i have a rather bumpy ride in it lol but sometimes i get a massive nock and near makes me teeth fall out!!! any ideas? jus been surviced like. have bad wheel woble at 90mph aswell. she only has 78,000 on the clock and runs well but the rattles are abit worse than i would like if im honest. oh and how do i stop me parcel shelf squeekin lol jus anoyin that. cheers.

Hi Jay,

Get it on a ramp..

Check condition of droplinks, suspension, antiroll bars, bushings and get the wheels checked for dents/cracks.. trackign and reallignment could also be an idea.

I fixed the parcel shelf rattle by taking out the rear seat, then unclipping the side panels (the ones that cover the inside of the quarter panels) stuffing some foam in there, and unclipping the parcel shelf and doing the same thing. I also used double sided foam adhesive tape around all the edges where the parcel shelf meets the body. did the trick nicely.

make sure it's not the speaker grilles making noise first.


re: the suspension etc. have you had the wheels balanced and tracked? I'd suspect the shock absorber for the suspension noise.

Definitely go for laser tracking and balancing, weights periodically fall off.
