Metallic, Flip Paint job

Postby Muad_dib77 » Fri Oct 06, 2006 2:15 pm

Guys - does anybody here know of any places willing to undertake a flip paint job.

Or anybody I could bounce a few ideas off?

There's a couple of places out the Drogheda (with ovens and all) that I'm going to visit over the weekend.. For now I'm simply gathering qoutes & info..

Don't do it!

Talk to Motors Inc, they might be able to do something.

Maud,

Theres a hero of a panel beater/paint man outside kentstown. He did a job on my metallic blue Almera ( following a slight interaction with a teleporter { v-large forklift } ) never got a chance to put his name up on the forum, but he's defo the man to talk to. Davey Cunningham is his name. Ill stick his details up over the weekend, if i remember :)

He mightnt be able to do it but he wont steer you wrong

smith and brannigan, there in lucan at the top of foxborough. He's got the ovens the whole lot. He is a bit pricey though. But as I live beside it I've seen a lot of his work and he is good. Haggle with him aswell i got a quote off him for €350 said "thats a bit expensive i was expecting €200-250" So he said he'd do it for €250. Worth a ring anyway

OMG - thanks for letting me know about Dave..but I've already had some experience with him - and whilst I cant fault his ability as a panel beater. I wouldn't let him near my car again. In fact I was almost in a fight with the man.

Funny how experiences vary :-)

TBH I think he got upset with me cause he knew he'd made a boo boo (I mean it was obvious!) and I had the nerve to point it out.

Probably didn't help that I was stupid enough to react when he squared up to me. Ended up in a a pushing and shouting match. In which I - being the guy with the dodgy paint job - was the ultimate loser. *sigh*

I'd still kick him in the balls if I saw him walking down the street.

I'm not bitter - honest
