What do you use to clean you're seats?

Postby power » Thu Mar 25, 2010 6:56 pm

What different products do you guys use to clean both leather and fabric seats?

I clean down my leatherette seats with turtle wax leather cleaner, but the stitching doesn't come out so clean! Any tips?

Also what you think is the best thing to clean the fabric seats in my girlfriends car?

A water vacuum will do the best job on your fabric seats. used every 2-3 months works a treat

On leather I used various products . Could't find anything yet to satisfy me.

I've taken the seat covers off a few cars I've had and machine washed them (FTO included) they come out like new.
Bit involving but way better than using foam cleaner or wet&dry hoover.

Thats a lot of effort for the girlfriend's colt, if it was the FTO then maybe

wet&dry hoover may a bit expensive to do just one car! So i guess that leaves me with foam!
Any ideas for cleaning the cream stitching. Can't help but think there has to be a cleaning product in the house i could use, but i'm afraid of damaging the leatherette!

it if's only the bottom half of the seat thats maggoty, it should only take an hour to remove the cushion for machine washing. brush some liquid detergant in before washing, and use comfort, makes the seats smell nice :)
