fto tappets

just reading various post on noisy tappets,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, but is it common problem when only starting up or when running warm, like during a spin? mine is a wee bit tappety in moring but only for minute r so, when she warms up she's nice and quite,,,,,,,,,,will a fully syntehic oil change plus new filter make morning starts quite r is this just for constant noisy tappets?

need my own done sounds loud all the time or else im just listening out for them everytime i take the car out.

hi gt94, how much will changing all tappets set you back? is it a complex job?

Wont have to change them gpx/gpvr can be adjusted i think all other models if there bad enough need to be changed,was doing a search someone wrote 200 yoyos to change them out they can be got on www.camskill.com do a search.

In answer to your initial question, it's pretty common for them to be noisy for a few seconds when you start the car first. If it goes on longer than that make sure your oil isn't gone low, and for GPX/GPvR as already said get them adjusted.
