Postby power » Sun Apr 26, 2009 9:12 pm

I'm in the middle of doing the centre console in carbon fibre, and decided to do away with the ashtray and lighter, im hoping to put my sat nav where ashtray used to be, and was thinking of something like this for where the lighter used to be http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=400045397394

or

http://cgi.ebay.ie/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=180342881546

anyone ever seen one of the first link installed? what is a shift light?
cheers for any input

IMO satnavs can be distracting enough on the windscreen, more so if you had to look down towards the gearlever to see it.
Tom has some nice looking (and useful) gauges where the ashtray was.

does it just light on at the best time to shift? could be fun in a tiptronic!
i also put in a cold air feed like bernards a couple of weeks ago, thought the air/fuel gauge would be intresting to try out a few different filters and see the difference?
so would the first one be any use ye think with the different settings?
interior looks nicely lit up colm, whats the connector block beside the steering wheel for?

That's my old car, the connector block was for the electric mirror switch, which I later relocated to lower down in the dash. There was a hard drive installed where the mirror switch originally was.
