The 'niggly' things

I know, we all cherish our FTO's but let's face it, there are a few niggly things we all hate... Here are some of mine:

The way the water rolls off your waxed boot into your interior no matter how slow you open it

The way wind noise comes in my window above 80kph

The way my fan blower makes a little anoying ticking noise when clicked to first notch

Torque steer overtaking

Having to remove water from my back window with a water scraper several times a day

Care to add?

I have no wind noise and have a rear wiper, care to swap?

Seriously, just use rain-X, it repels water and is nearly as good as a rear wiper! wind noise could probably be solved by new door seals

as for torwue steer overtaking, you have a feckin LSD and I've never experienced this, how aggressive an overtake-r are you


Anyhoo, my gripes are:

the water getting the boot thing,
the front wipers not being fast enough,
the front fogs being wired seperate to the rest of the lights (you wouldn't have that to worry about)
and the way the climate control beeps every time you press a button (again not a prob in a GPVR)
The seat doesn't raise high enough at the front for tall people, and there's no reach adjustment

Sorry! My bad!

I totally forgot about the wiper thing - the speeds are so ghey!!! The first one is just that bit too slow, and the second one is too fast... grr. As bad as Betsie was, you could train her to leave whatever gap you wanted in between wipes which was really handy.

Oh and I tried the RainX on the back windscreeen! Mistake!! Instead of rolling down the glass it stays stuck to it and I can't see out at all. I vowed never to make that mistake again!

they're not fast enough even at the fastest setting.
The GPX has variable intermittent function so you can set the time intervals a la Betsy

My version R HAS a rear wiper and adjustable speed on the front wipers as well as front fog's as not to mention an lsd

Got me confused though so I done my research and only found out now that there are two version r specs out there mine being the Version R aero series.

On topic though the lack of a rear wiper would dive me bonkers,
There is only two things that I can think of that have annoyed me since I got the car.
1 being when someone gets out of the back and leaves the seat forward unless I remember to push it back myself it's going to be sliding all over the place when I take off and subsequently brake.
2 The exhaust noise can be a bit loud in the version R(At least with a modded exhaust) I always find myself pushing the magic 112kmph which it seems to fizzle out at.
Well that or driving in fourth but Al Gore doesn't have good things to say about that and there's no need for it really

You have Blueflame to thank for that! I find 100kmph in 4th to be quite bearable despite the higher RPM, have an awful boom at that speed.

I've got the variable speed on my wipers too. Again its an Aero GPvR. No rear riper though but it doesnt bother me. I'd hate to loose the variable speed on the wiper, its fierce handy.

OT, I dont like the amber on the rear lights... Makes it look dated.
And apparently its very annoying for back seat passengers who hit there head on the rear window, of course it wouldnt bother us....

Installed a rain sensor in mine, works very nicely, adjusting the speed to however heavy the rain is!

nope. the front part of the seat is too low, it doesn't support a tall drivers legs. with the rear half of the seat all the way down, the front half is still too low even at its highest position.

My god I thought I was the only one!! Another one being shutting the door by using the window!!

My gripes are the door storage areas are extremely small, can barely fit anything in there. Thats it really!
Rear wiper thing doesnt bother me one bit, actually like it.

i've had a few people in the back smack their head off the window when goin over speed ramps, doesn't annoy me i think its hilarious!!
small problem i've had a few times is the bottom half of the seatbelt catching itself under the seat lever, then when i move in the seat the lever lifts up and the seat collapses back, luckily this hasn't happened while driving YET!!
