Hi Guys
Has anyone here got an EB licence?
My mate recently got stopped towing a large trailer( hes a carpenter) and the guard said he needed an EB licence as the B licence dosent cover it
Ive heard of people getting this licence years ago and didnt have to do a test, ive not heard of anyone doing the test
and im sure there must be a lot of people out there towing bigger trailers eg. famers etc without realising the law
Does anyone know the max size trailer you can tow with a B licence?

750kg is the maximum total allowed weight (trailer and load combined) on a standard license.
I think you get EB automatically if you get a rigid truck license. It's very rare for someone to actually apply for an EB license, anyone transporting a car on a trailer would definitely need the upgraded license, but very few actually have it.

This thread answers any questions you might have

Thanks Colm
Maybe its just another one of those rules that the guards let go, Ive B licence
Im going to be towing a horsebox for the summer so unless the guards enforce it I might be ok
