Led's in the dash. 70% done.

Postby Phil GPX » Mon Mar 31, 2008 12:09 am

spent about £30 on LED's and £27 on chrome rings from the FTOOC uk, here are the latest pics. chrome rings not fitted yet and still waiting on some of the led's to replace the spotting ones and the ones in the main dash. gotta make sure it looks perfect. :D

nah T5 and T10 bulbs are what you need and the air con bulbs from the ftooc uk shop. the spotting on the air con looks awful in the pics, looks fine real life, I will get some better photos when its all done, was pissing it down when took the photos so was in a hurry.

as above tho the dash bulbs and volt clock are getting changed with some new ones I found, so if anyone wants some cheapish leds for the dash I may have enough for a set spare.

here are a few slightly better photos, looks great at night when i open the car with the fob and the car glows blue from the inside.

when I finally get the others and fit them with the rings then i will get some good photos with the new gear stick, just need some black car mats to replace the horrid standard ones then interiors done unless i can afford some alacantra fabric seat covers.

you need 2x cig lighter, 2x clock and 5x main dash of T5 bulbs and 1x T10 for the volt clock. then get the aircon set off the ftooc. finally if you want 2x 44mm festoon led for map lights.

like I said I may have enough to make a dash set spare if you dont mind a little spotting I will sell them cheaper. as pictured in these photos as the expensive LED's aint arrived yet.

Thats mine. I've changed it slightly since this pic. I've also fitted KMC Glow dials (no offence to Phil but the Glow Dials are much nicer) I'll add pics at the weekend of the final work.

Very nice job indeed, and I'm liking the blue map lights, class effect when you open the door. Where did you get the led festoon lights?
Also, how does the aircon screen read during day light? I fitted red lights to mine, which look great at night, but are hard to read during the day. Would consider changing to Blue if it helped.
Cheers,
TC
