Fto - Polo Shirts - Custom

Postby RussMan » Fri Aug 11, 2006 3:35 pm

Hi There,

I'm going to get some custom fto polo shirts made up... nice quality... in a range of colours.
I'd like to get an emblem or two together and i plan to promote CJ's site with a subtle www.fto-ireland.com url logo across the collar somewhere.... Let me know if anyone is interested in any. I'm pretty flexible about how many and what i can make... will make them as cheap as possible but only on high quality polo T-shirts,

Thanks
Russ

Would have a personal preference for the fto ireland club logo to be on both sleeves with an FTO logo as the crest.

Glad to hear everyone is interested.
I spoke to my friend who will print them off for me.
I'm going to buy in a load of blank polo shirts so colours aren't really a problem but i'll probably go with the old realiables.

Black, Navy Blue, Red - So i guess to get the ball rolling can we make a list of who wants what? I'll get them done for the meet if i get a list together quickly.

I guess the style is important also so i'll have to sort that out.
I've got a clothes catalog which i will post up onto the site tomorrow`which will give you a list of what can be used as the canvas for the logo's.

Planning on www.fto-ireland.com in a small sharp font on either the side or across the back of the collar.
Logo will be on the left or right breast pocket.
Going to try get a demo printed off today and will put a digital snap up on the site tomorrow.
For the moment to gauge interest please reply to the below and add your details. Thanks

Russ, can I suggest using the logo at the top of the page with 'branding' in mind? I have hi res versions I can send on if needed. Can I assume that the logo will be stitched?

I think this is something that could be used as a fundraiser i.e. a couple of quid could be stuck on top of the production cost and put in the kitty for future events or the like. Can you let me know if you have an idea on price at this stage?

Ok i've had an update here regarding these.
I can get them embroided on or printed.... I am however limited by a minimum order if we go for the embroided... which i think will be the nicest out of the two.
I've forwarded a copy of a pdf with the first samples on it.... i have no where to upload this so i you would like me to email it you or someone wants to host the file let me know.
I can get these samples changed... colour etc so please suggest away.
Will need to get 30 in total to place an order and can have them ready for the meet.

Cheers
Russ

Thanks for the PDF Russ, I've converted it into jpg format, click on the image below to load the hi-res version:

We should have no trouble getting an order in for 30 shirts, get your names down lads!

Can I suggest incorporating an actual pic of an FTO into the design i.e FTO on chest and the site address on the collar and or sleeve? I'll see if I can dig out a suitable pic and send it on.

What do you think on the colour combinations?
I'm not sure on red on black yet but maybe it will work.
Regarding an image... i'd imagine this may drive up the price a little bit..
Please send me a picture and i'll get it added onto it.

Pricing will depend on numbers, finished product etc.
I'm not doing this to make any money, more so to help promote the site and hopefully contrbute something to the running of the site etc.

Regarding colour combos, I'd be inclined towards:

White on Black
Black on white
White on red

That said, everyone will have a preference so this isn't a big issue.

I had a look around and I found it difficult to come up with a suitable image - the one I thought might work is a little small but I'll meil it on it different formats anyway:

i think i'd prefer a sketch instead of an image... less tacky imo.
I'll ask Agent S to sketch one up

Nice one, didn't realise that Agent S was the arty type ;)
As an alternative, I'm going to go over to the FTOOC and beg to see if anyone has a silhouette type graphic they'd be willing to let us use, no harm in asking....

I'm inclined to agree a printed image would look too tacky. The design looks ok to me...not sure that an FTO car image is necessary. But if you're going down that route a simple silhouette consisting of a few lines would look a lot better......That said, less is more IMO, make it too clutered and the whole thing will look tacky.

[design by committee never works! ]

I'll take two (maybe three). Any idea on the sizes? The difference between S,M,L can vary considerably between manufactures....
