Kevs leather dilemma

Sounds good, if you've a few pics throw them up there.

Having a rethink about the leather retrim this morning, last night I had a look at the retrim one of the guys on ftooc had already got and installed, cream, beautiful job, really brightened the whole thing up and the radio/gear surround is matching cream too. Then I was looking at what I was going for, all black, and realised how dark it would make the inside of the car, so I'll hold off and do a redesign. Dammit, thought the design I was going for looked excellent before I saw the other guy's trim!

Ah well... trying to get back on topic, any thoughts on the tip box upgrade? There was a guy on ftooc selling a manual gearbox and anything else needed for the conversion...

I'm a big fan of black leather, and in general prefer it to cream. However with all the FTO's black plastic, a full black leather interior would make the car very dark. I think the job CJ did looks well black with silver/grey to match the exterior colour of the car.

Yea you should Dave. For a small fee I'll dispose of the old interior for you

Taste is a fickle s.o.b., was really looking forward to getting my leather trim, thought it looked the job and all, had spec'd it, decided on all the bits I wanted, everything except pay for it. Then saw Ken's on ftooc and all of a sudden the black one I was going for looked very dark & dull.

The cream leather is a bit bright for my tastes (on my own car that is) but looks fantastic in those pics at the same time. Cj's black and grey looks excellent too, good coordination with car's colour, both trims top class jobs. I'll have to have a good think about it and see what I fancy, maybe go with the black seats and brighten up the rest maybe, or get lighter colour leather...

Kev, Bandit has a collection of leather pics from many of the people from the group buy, I'm sure he could send you on a selection for comparison purposes.
