WIPERS OPERATE WHEN IGNITION OFF

IS THIS A WEIRD FEATURE OF THE FTO OR JUST ON MINE ? WHEN I TURN OFF THE IGNITION AND GET OUT THE WIPERS ARE STILL RUNING ! VERY ANNOYING

Mine does that as well, but it's only if I have the wipers turned on when I turn off the engine.
If I try to turn them on when the engine is off they don't go on :?: ....
and yeah I agree, it is annoying.

This shouldn't happen, the wipers should work off the switched live, if they operate when the ignition is off then they've been wired to the permanent live for some reason?

I was playing around with this a bit yesterday and my wipers stay on when I turn off the engine, but when I take out the ignitian key they stop :?

Is that to say the ignition is completely switched off but the key is still in place? Try the aircon and the stereo, if they work at this point, then the permanent and switched live feeds have got messed up @ some stage, if its annoying you, a trip to an autoelectrician might be worthwhile.
