Sounds good, congrats!

Just on the shipping, be prepared for delays, even when the ship has left Japan (may be a few weeks delay there even) it has a few stops to make on the way. If its still in Japan now I reckon the chance of it being here in 4 weeks is slim enough. Once mine eventually got on a ship it took about 5 weeks I think it was.

A few jobs that might need to be done... as you said the bushes... tyres... lights I thought were shockingly bad when I got the car first so better bulbs were put in (now have HID).

Oh ya, it'll prob have a jap radio, and the jap FM range is different, 76-89 or something instead of 88-107 or whatever it is. You'll either need to get a band expander or a new radio.

While on the subject does anybody know where (other than ebay) you can get a band expander?

Secure Sounds in Cork tends to have them I think... dunno outside of that. Prob some online places like Caraudiodirect.co.uk or crusin4pussy.co.uk?

Don't bother,

You'll want to get a new radio. Even with the expander, the frequencies don't display properly. and there's the odd channel that you still won't be able to get.

Yep and the Jap Radios don't seem to have RDS - at least mine didn't so the channels keep cutting in and out as you're driving. It gets very annoying.
