Headlight Question

Postby JohnM » Sat Feb 07, 2009 8:46 pm

Noticed today that my headlights are dirty on the inside of the headlight cover and im just wondering whats the easiest way to get the covers off. Do you loosen the nut thats just above the headlight or is there another way of doing it.

cheers guys

You can't really get the covers off the headlights without an oven, then you'd need to reseal them.

You could tie a small rag on the end of a coat hanger and clean the inside that way.

A more common problem would be the lacquer on the outside peeling, there's loads of guides to sorting that here, just search for peeling headlights and you'll find them.

As per Berno, the oven is your only man:

Sorry to drag this thread up again but I spotted this on Camskill.

It might prove useful for anyone searching for a fix to peeling headlights, although you couldn't justify the P&P for it on it's own.

always worth asking Jim if he will adjust the postage... they usually will unless its a very heavy item like alternator or something.
