Fault code reader?

Postby skipper » Wed Sep 15, 2010 1:23 pm

Hi All,
Trying to sort the problem of the rev limiter kicking in a t 6500k, but it seems i need a diagnostic check to test the various sensors.

So the question is will a universal OBD2 reader work on my 1995 mivec? The repair manuals refer to Mitsubishi's MUT2 diagnostic reader that has the same plug under the dash as the OBD2, but the companies I've spoke to say the OBD2 readers are for cars made for the european market after 1996 for some readers and after 2001 for other readers? though all say they are suitable for Mitsubishi cars

Anyone used one of these readers on their FTO??

:?

OBD readers won't work.
I had an electrical problem recently and my mechanic tried it to no avail.

You can do a diagnostic yourself without a reader.
It only takes a couple of minutes, just search for diagnostic.
