HID Dims

Hi guys...i'm going to order this kit :

I think it's a good deal and it should be easy to fit. Any suggestions ? Would i go for it?

Sorry don't have any experience with the kit but could someone confirm for me whether you would need 2 kits if you wanted to have both your dims and brights converted to HID.

Also has anyone put in a HID kit into the spot lights ?

hiya - I was discussing this with a seller.
you need 1 kit for dims and a different kit of high beams.

Apparently the kits for highbeams are more expensive because they are more expensive to manufacute.
I beliieve a standard lobeam ballast is rated at 35 to 40watt and a high beam needs to be rate at 50-60watt. For some reson this is more expensive to make - go figure!

I'm in the process of importing a couple of kits from said dealer however nothing is final yet - so I cant reveal any pricing.

Looks like a pretty good deal to me, been thinking about throwing in a set of HIDS myself recently

The kit apart from the ballasts looks similar to mine... impossible to tell how good or bad it is, the ballasts are waterproof which is good, but my tuppence worth would be that if its a fair bit cheaper than other HID kits, and it does both dipped and high beams when the others don't, I would have to be a bit suspicious of its quality tbh.

That said though they might be fine, I guess there's only one way to know for sure.

Just bought the kit...i'll keep you informed about quality and fitting...
Got the 8000k bulb colour(cool blue)and i was thinkin to buy high beam and side lights as well to match...any suggestion? Philips blue vision are 4000k so they won't match...maybe Osram?

Here i am...Lights arrived in less than a week, well packed...quality seems to be ok, case is metallic and rubbers are very good.
Couldn't wait the day after to fit them so i did it nighttime with almost no light ...very, very, very easy to fit ... took less than 30 min ... just one trick ... red and black need to be swapped but i already knew that.
I fitted one ballast to the horn bracket with a screw included in the kit and the other one between the battery and the fuses case.Really easy job.
Result is great as i can see the road now and lights look really cool imho.
Will they last? Hope so but in any case i think that for 150 euro it's a good deal still.
Any suggestion to improve sidelights? Now they look even more crappy.

Massimo, did you have to strip wiring to fit the ballasts or did they connect directly into the light harness?

They connected directly into the light harness...i inverted red and black on the other side of that wire where it connect to the ballast...no need to cut or modify anything.

Nice one!

The sidelights compared to the HIDs are the only gripe I have, my sidelights look really 'brown' against the daylight white HIDs. If you come across suitable sidelight bulbs (& headlight bulbs) let me know.

Personally I'd go with the prighter ones - but I do most of my driving in the darkest parts of the sticks these days..
For you citydwellers blue might be the cooler option

What bulb do you need to get? thinking of getting this kit myself!

3500k = Yellow
6000k = white
8000k = blueish
10000k = purple
12000k = dark purple

I personally love the colour i got - 8000k. It's not an artificial blue like bluevision, it's just cool and match very well with the colour of the car(silver). You will have to sacrifice some brightness of course but, to me, it's still a great improvement.

I bit the bullet and bought a set of dims (electric blue - 6000k), hopefully they'll do the job.

Nope Kace, only got the standards in there, got halos, haven't figured how to wire them up yet!
