Some standard work on my FTO

Postby Gwyn » Mon Nov 05, 2007 5:42 pm

Have been giving the FTO some TLC recently. As well as swapping out most of the bushes, getting new droplinks and shocks - I also got my cambers freed (finally) and got full tracking and aligment, as well as 4 new tyres.

Hit the pocket a bit, but the difference is amazing - she's almost brand new. I missed one bush though, on the rear trailing arm.........so still have a slight knock on the corners. Fingers crossed that once done - she'll be A1.

Usual suspects - Paul Nolan and DTAS......

Probably the best thing you can do for any 8yr + FTO (pretty much all of them now) is to overhaul the suspension. I changed all bushes (poly where avail), KYB dampers, Apex springs, front and rear droplinks and added a front and rear strut brace within a few weeks on my last FTO and the difference was incredible as well. Gives the FTO a new lease of life - money well spent.
