Version R stickers

Postby RussMan » Thu Jun 30, 2005 2:12 pm

Hi,

On the rear spoiler i have two version R stickers... they are fairly flaked at this stage and i'd like to get rid of them.. it would appear that the paint work underneath is ok as i was able to peel off a small area(took a month)
Any ideas on the best way of getting the stickers off?? petrol maybe?
I also want to remove the mitsu and sero stickers also which appear to be "stuck" on!!!

Thanks
~Russ

Check the PS at the bottom before you start tho!

Might do it myself, my V6 24V stickers have seen better days....

You can use a hairdryer or similar to soften up the sticker, get a blunt piece of plastic to lift the edge, they should off handy enough once warm. Then use a cloth soaked in petrol or isopropyl alcohol to break down and remove the remaining adhesive and finally, use polish to finish it off. If shouldn't take you more than half an hour to remove all the stickers.

I found a couple of kettles of hot water do the trick nicely - don't spare the hot water though - you'll need to heat up the sticker sufficently to make it easy to peel away the relevant sticker.

I take no responsibility for damaged paintwork though.

Nah - leave the Mivec stickers or maybe replace with newer ones as below - that kinda stuff has to be known.

Hehe - I was waiting for that one!

Goodman CB - on the ball.
I have previously owned a GR Tip and it was a beautiful car - and CJ owned a GS but they're all FTO's and are very similar except for the fact I'd kick your ass in my Mivec Manual.
