Tappets

Postby Dragonheart » Wed Mar 03, 2010 2:50 am

I've done a search, and I can't find a detailed guide on how to adjust the tappets. Does anybody know where one exists?
I'd like to give a shot at them myself some day when free as I'm on a bit of a roll lately with getting stuff fixed so might as well hit this nail on the head too while I'm in the form.

no
for the gr is a bigger pain... tappets can only be replaced or rarely cleaned

Yup, as per Escu above GR tappets need to be replaced, its only the GPX that they can be adjusted on.

I contradict myself ; i cleaned my front bank and they perform wonderful even after 2-3 months!
I changed with new ones for the rear bank .. since is covered by intake manifold, but in my humble opinion, the originals ones are of much better quality than the aftermarket camskill is selling !
