What not to do when bored

Woke up thursday morning thinking what can i do . . . . Car il clean the engine bay . So cleaned the engine and surrounding areas great but the only down side was the manifold .nasty so i got my sand paper out along with some metal polish . First pipe was easy looked great back to its shiny self . Ha ha ha 2 day later finished the other 3. Doh . Fingers hurt got blisters but will admit when that bonnet goes up the rewards are good . If ya got time and dont mind pain then do it but be aware . Will post pics

can you run through what grit sandpaper you used and at what point you used the polish?

you reckon something like this would be any use?

Hopefully you got my msg i sent. But ref that sand paper tool .yeah save a lot of time and effort defo but i think you will have problems with the pipes in the middle . The outside ones will be cake
