buying parts from user: asti rs

Postby cmasterson » Wed Apr 21, 2010 8:50 pm

Hello,

just a quick post as I feel this is warrented.

A couple of weeks ago I spotted a user on this forum called asti rs. He mentioned on a thread that he had a centre console for sale at €50 and I immediately pounced. After a couple of PM's and a phone call we agreed a price of €60 and I immediately paid him by paypal.

Today the part landed on my desk, not only did he send me the centre console but he sent me the whole surround for the gear stick, including the leather cover for the stick, basically everything from the air vents down.

I just thought I'd write on here that if you thinking of doing business with this chap he gets two big thumbs up from me. It's so refreshing to do a bit of business on the net and not get ripped off or messed about.

This is the second bit of business I've conducted on this forum (the first being with Seb) and I've walked away in both cases feeling happy, this obviously reflects well on the people who are members here and the guys who run it.

Sorry if that was long winded but honestly, credit where credit is due.

Thanks
cmasterson

Good to hear it :D
It's nice when things work out well... you're negotiating skills are a little rusty though (going by the above)

nah not at all, I'm fairly handy at bagging a bargain, the original price of €50 was for the part that surrounds the stereo....considering he sent it to me express post with all the other bits for an extra tenner I'd say I did alright out of that deal.

I kinda wanted it to sound that way, therefore the bloke gets more exposure.

Shock tactics!
