Bonnet Vents

Postby Myfeckin FTO » Wed Sep 29, 2004 6:27 pm

Guys check out this website for FTO styling.

http://www.sabreautostyling.com/body-ki ... ubishi.htm

Does anybody know of any Irish supplier/bodyshop (splitrims??) that can do something similar with the bonnet vents?? - this is as nice as I have seen on an FTO.

Karl from splitrims was working on one a while ago, he had actually fitted a prototype and I believe another revision was in the pipeline.

just got this reply,

Hi,

Yes we do export to Ireland.
The bonnet is only a top skin, we still have to make a complete bonnet but cannot say when this will be ready.
The front bumper is having a new mould made in order to maintain a good fitment and finish of the product.
The bonnet skin is £120 and is in stock
The bumper is £300 and will be ready 3 weeks from order.
Delivery to Ireland is £60 for either the bonnet or bumper and £75 for the both together.
You can pay by cheque posted to the adress on the web site or by credit card phoning +44 161429 9602
Should you require further information please let me know.

Regards

Salvo

was just wondering about this style of vent, would the water pissing into the engine bay do any harm?!

I think the FTO is already pretty enough :-) The only think it needs in my opinion is some nice big wheels, a bit of lowering, a front lip spoiler and some subtle skirts......

I like your thinking Shane - but I have to say that I would personnally like a little bit more attitude - I think the bonnet vents could be a tasteful mod IF done right - there are some awful looking aberations out there - a scooby type vent would not suit an FTO but I like the recessed ferrari/elise type bonnet vents - hence why I think that this vent is "on the money".

you could be right here - I was looking at the bumper more than the vents - don't like that "all silver mesh" look. The vents could be cool alright but you'd need all the other bits to complement it....

Personally I think facelift bumper, vR rear spoiler, subtle skirts, 2 x twin exhaust, 18's with big brakes and coil overs is the way to go - I really like Martin Whiles (UK owner) car - them you just need some luxury inside (leather etc.).

I wish.......
