Airbrushing

Postby Dragonheart » Tue May 20, 2008 12:53 am

Toying with the idea of getting my airbag panel airbrushed or painted or something. Just throwing it out there for the moment. I like bits of arty stuff on cars, especially on the airbag panel cause its a big area and its bland as hell. Seeing as its a japanese car, was looking at something japanessy, and also something warrior-like, and whats more suitable to them than something like a samurai design. So here are a few options, Im not def going to do this but I'd like to know what peoples thoughts are on first of all airbrushing that panel, and second of all the designs.
Heres a few;

painting or interfering with an airbag cover is never a good idea.

Replace the airbag with one of those springy snake things people put in jars - then set it off at random to scare the bejaysus out of your passengers.

Legend.

I see your points about safety first and all that, wasnt going taking it off. Do it myself in-car, or manouver around it somewy, like I said I'm just toying with the idea. Theres no other place I could think off to put something. Glove box maybe?Wouldnt be seen there though.

even if you safely remove the airbag unit and spray paint it, you don't know what damage the paint will do to the airbag cover, and how it would perforate in a crash situation. even a sticker put on an airbag cover can be dangerous.
