i would have thought the first upgrade you'd want was turbo? :D

hehe turbo...Like a free source of power...after you've spent thousands :)

If you're gonna go turbo, budget for new brakes!. Its a pity that Mitsi skimped on the FTOs brakes, they're pretty poor at the best of times (especially on non-MIVEC variants).

Ah no! - brakes and handling before power for me. If going turbo then I think a VR4 conversion or an Evo conversion would be the way to go rather than trying to add forced induction to the mivec.

Personally I'd go with the VR4. 2.5 V6 just sounds like a great spec. Worthy of the AM brakes if you ask me :)

in in the process of fitting an eaton m45 supercharger.

emanage blue allready on with additional harnesses. and a few pics-

you are clearly certifiable - I love it..

In fact I recently emailed TTS performance about the possibility of doing a rotrex install on the 6a12 unit.

What injectors are you using?

best place to buy them cheap is ebay US.

stock injectors are 166cc ive got 210cc to try first - should be ok for a low boost setup but there's always cdh-275 on there too.

Very nice project - I'd be of the opinion the characteristics of a supercharger would work better with the mivec 2L engine than a turbo kit. I haven't seen any FTO's running a supercharger kit - it'd be fantastic to see one working. However as with any forced induction once you go beyond 250bhp+ on an FTO you are looking at a built block. The supercharger may just be a more reasonable and reliable way of getting that 250bhp than a turbo though. I'd go a bit bigger with the injectors though - you don't want these to be a bottleneck and have to run at full capacity. As with any similar set-up - mapping is hugely important.

I love the sound of an aftermarket supercharger with the bypass valve whistling away. 8)

Is there anyone selling this as a kit or is there any other FTO's running this set-up at present?

Very interesting project, I await the outcome with interest. Did you consider VR-4 450cc injectors? What level of boost are you planning to run? I would be concerned that you'll hit max injector duty cycle very early on the 210s, ideally, you don't want to be running more than 90% at max boost.

ill only be running 5-6psi boost. 450's will be too big and cause cold start probs.

If the 210's turn out to be too small 275's should do it.

In the greddy support tools you can log injector duty cycle so its easy to check anyway :)
